Ph.D. Programme

        The programme aims to train researchers in the legal sciences based on the study of research concepts within the various legal areas and disciplines. The objective of the programme is to acquire and develop methodological and analytical skills, enabling the student to carry out high quality research. A further goal is the acquisition of skills allowing doctoral students to participate successfully in the various forums, where they set out the results of their research work. The doctoral studies in law include the preparation and presentation of the doctoral thesis, which consists of original research in the field of legal sciences, and a prior training period involving mandatory research seminars and tests.

 

 

Admission Procedure for Ph. D. Programme

        Admission to Ph.D. Programme shall be strictly on the basis of merit taking into account NET/SLET qualification of the applicant. If there are more vacancies, then the candidates will be selected on the basis of total marks obtained in qualifying examination.

       Provided that, while making admission to the course reservation policy of the Government of Karnataka governing admission to higher education institutions issued from time to time shall be applied.
